Click on the pictures to see explanations (solo inglés 😦 ) of what our wonderful volunteers have been up to this month – thanks so much to Karolis, Julian, Lou, David (again!), Gerome, Olga and Mara. Come back any time (again!) and huge thanks to OJ our site manager.
covers for the earth buckets at the compost toilets! next time it rains we won’t be trying to sprinkle mud
we “fixed” the swale coming down the road – after 7 months it had filled with mud so we dug it out an replaced the organis matter which lets the water filter in. We could see the swale was working or not by the shape of the track underneath it… the water left a channel up to the swale, but then it stopped.
starting to plant the cactus garden, and thanks to Lou, Jerome and Julian for decompacting the soil around the tree.
why is the cherry tree dead? 😦
our lovely permaculture ethics inspired mosaic by Mara and Olga – thanks! you’ll have to find it next time you visit.. it’s not in an obvious place 😉
fixed the saggy bathroom roof
a swale at the top of the new steps to stop them turning into a waterfall in the rain
OJ’s teeth brushing solution – how does it not drip?? excellent work, it’s soo hard to make things properly water tight
the apple tree and surrounding mulch basin is very happy in our future food forest
a great weekend with freinds – if anyone wants to come camping we are very open to having visitors, please let me know! firstname.lastname@example.org
