a few pics and some thoughts from curly lobo

23 05 2013

(inglesparlantes no nativos van a tener dificultades en seguir esto!!!)

I had a wonderful time misplacing your mini shoe and then removing all my livables from me curly cave so as to finally find the mini stomper shoved in the most logical of sidepockets in the tent canvas.

I enjoyed the games thoroughly. Luckily for my overgrown tumor that I call my Ego, I was on the intelligent team with that lovely French girl named Stefani–this is the tactic of the slow witted man. If ye cannot think quickly, then be with those who can. This has always been my dunce motto of the inevitable mantra that I decry: act and then think.

The Improvisational Music workshop has made me seriously consider making Alejandro my personal mentor. Eating Noah’s home-made cookie has seriously made me consider every ant upon every hike to every river that I never arrive to as a possible subject in my kingdom: The Land of Prosperous Spontaneity–it’s interesting how one can put a leaf over a defenseless messenger ant and then grumble the mountainous tune of Mordor from thy very depths. Yes, fair ant, I have let ye live, but forever shall thee be my subject! And then quietly does the poppy gently blow against the woodland nymphs fuzzy leg . . .

Of such tomfoolery I believe the council of Boodaville would approve.

Peitro a.k.a Peyoti is an incredible musician that I saw at Austin´s place already, and I must say–hot damn mama wanna lick another riff til I ain´t got no more groove to Jove to. And them DJ’s shoooooooooooo did give a two step to this here moving fool. Let me tell you.

lia is a guest writer this week who has written a beautiful reflection on the weekend – a hug to you lia!

A wonderful work share weekend at “Anna of Boodaville” place.

Besides the soothing feeling to your soul provided by helping and sharing, and  framed under the paramaters of a new movement involving Transition Towns guidelines, Permaculture developments, and Awakening movements; I was so grateful and drawn in by the natural environment and the shear fullness of people who participate helping Anna; an English born girl, with an Spanish heart; to  ”get ready”,  for the ” Boodaville Festival”, that has been taking place during the last 4 years on the outskirts of Calaceite.

Little by little, rock by rock, Anna’s enthusiastic approach to have a place where she can dwell on the future and provide educational and instructional knowledge to people who are realizing that we need a different approach to life, where sustainability, diversity,  but mainly, a great love of nature thrive, in order to live more harmoniously, and recover the humanity we have lost, on this maelstrom  of  ”money God world”.

A “hurray” for Anna, and thanks all for the great time….!

spring cleaned and ready for the season

25 03 2013

version en castellano

well there were just two of us in the end and the cleaning got done a week late…. but the house is done! no more mouse poo and ready to move back in for the season (spring has officially started now!) we didn’t feel that a calcotada was appropriate with a vegetarian, and one other person, so we stuck with a walnut pear gorgonzola and lentil salad, and waited until the evening to cook on the fire and our roasted stuffed red pepper recipe and it didn’t work at all badly. i wonder how many oven recipes can be successful in hot coals. a roast chicken? hmmm

i spent one of the best 99c ever on a dust mask and sweeping out the house was fine.. the only dust that got through was the very fine almond mess left by the mice. they have tucked in nicely to the huge green sack of almonds (in shells) i stored near the bed.

we also planted 20 lettuces and some strawberry plants so that by the festival they are ready to eat – the plan is to harvest and forage as many ingredients as possible!
